What twin set up should I use?

Well it finally happened. I just took out my head gasket and the head is coming off. Already planning to rebuild the head and add o-rings and studs. Since I am beefing up for more pressure, now I am considering twins. Truck does moderate towing (10K to 15K) and also a daily driver. Lots of differents set ups out there. Been looking hard at the BD's and they seem okay. Any recommendations for a fast spooling set that would get me to 500+ some day?

for just 500 the bd's would be real nice.

if you want to step up to 600~700 go with a sps62/b2 or s400. it will pull your little loads nicely

I highly recommend the BD twins or perhaps piers towing twins or the tried and true 35/3b setup. Don't forget rip's twins which use a 35/s400. I've seen the bd's and rip's twins in action and both of them are wicked fast spooling with the edge going to bd (it uses a super b/highly modified s300). Both cool about the same I think.

I wouldn't go buy BD's if you already have the 62/14, throw an s400 underneath that.

Ahh. Didn't even notice that. Good point. Throw an S400 underneath your current turbo and then add more fuel. A 62/400 twin combo should be enough 600hp.

Only thing is I don't like the spool up of the 62/14. Seems a bit slow coming to life at 1800 rpms. I might need to go to a 12cm housing and add Mach 4 injectors to help spool it faster.

I posted right as you did....lol. So more fuel for sure. How about the smaller housing? Would that restrict me too much?

A 12 housing will help spool. From a standing stop I can hit 40psi in 1st gear with my 62/12.

With a 400 on bottom I don't think it would hurt that bad. I know I'm choking my truck on the top end with a 12 housing but once I put the 400 under there I doubt I'll have any issues.

Makes sense. If I did upgrade I could always put the 14cm back on if I noticed a difference.

I talked to a buddy today who has B2 for a pretty good price. Is there some place that I could get a pipe kit to hook them together for a reasonable price?
