what size pump do I have?
Is there different sizes of the p1700? Someone told me there were but my knowledge isnt as vast as most of the gentlemen on here. SO if someone could enlighten me if there are different sizes and if so where I can find the size of mine. Thanks guys

Sure are man, and your 1997 Manual trans baby should have the mack daddy, the 215 Hp.
Check out DodgeRam.org, I believe they have a good explanation of the various HP rated pumps.

hahah thanks patdaly, and thank you guys for assuring me! Just got back from DMV (which only cost me a little over an hour) and am happy to say the price I paid was $300 less then I expected! $300 of parts!
