What should stock boost be?

I bought a TST PM3 with the R46 remote and didnt get the boost elbow with it so I guess I'm running the stock amount of boost until the new one I ordered somes in from TST. I noticed right away the truck was only making around 8-11 PSI in the upper RPM's so I checked all the inter cooler boots an piping couplers and found that they were quite loose and fixed them. Now it maxes out at 20 PSI and the turbo got a LOT quieter. Anyway, I was just wondering if 20 PSI max was normal for a 2000 with a 6 speed. Thanks

Yup. 18-20psi is normal for a stock wastegate. Get a boost elbow on there and crank the boost up to about 35psi and you'll be good.

How much boost will TST have the elbow set for ? Is 35 safe for me and my stock clutch?

35 will be fine on the turbo. As far as the clutch goes, who knows. My buddy slips his clutch at 15psi of boost. I don't know what TST will set it up as but it's easy to adjust. It's just a little allen head screw on the elbow that you turn in and out to control the boost.
