What parts needed for a tranny rebuild?

So I am told by everyone that I will ahve to rebuild my tranny really soon. Since that is the general concensus, who can tell me what parts i will need? I want to get all the parts and then take it to my tanny guy (does amazing work on Dodge's), and have him do the work. Here is what I know I need:

New torque converter (I will get a single disk lockup because I don't plan on having over 500hspwr)
New input and output shafts
New Valve Body

Anything else I shiould get on my own?

Thanks

Flatty, Go to DTT web site, Read about all these tech tips herehttp://www.dieseltrans.com/phpBB/index.php?c=8. Read so you know about their parts and upgrades. This is in their tech tips section.

Call DTT and ask to do a spec sheet of what your truck is and the wieght your gonna haul. They will give you a list of what they recommend.

They recommended to me TC, VB , Master kit=5 clutch 3rd Billit piston/pressure plate 2nd gear 4.4 lever etc ,billit servo and accumilator, Billit input shaft ,overdrive solinoid etc. They said if you haul over 10,00 pounds they recomend the billet input shaft.

I have a 99 truck also. Mine has a stock dealer warrenty over hauled trans . I have been studying what to upgrade on mine too.

Where do you live and who is your tranny guy? The trans guy I know is very good but He doesnt know anything about the DDT stuff or these tight low stall converters.

The tranny guy I use is located in San Jose. Actually, I know him through a tranny friend that runs a tranny wholesale shop. I will call DTT and talk to them this week.

Yeah call Dave goerend too. I talked to him once and am going to call him again , His stuff is less expensive.

I am researching everything and the different parts before I buy. I want a good trans but dont want to waste my money just to say I have so and so's parts . Ive learned these triple disc converters are not what I want.

I spoke to DTT, and found out the following info (BTW, Stephen? is a great guy)

The triple lock is not necesary at all. Their 3 rigs with the mOST power are running single locks
Billet input shaft is necessary after 400hpw (I am going to do this anyway)
Billet output only necessay if you do hole shots off road
Need a deep pan
Need all the billet innards.

Basically I can get the parts for a great deal, and havea local boy build it.
