What kind of trouble can REVO get me into?

Being able to adjust the programs now, what does each do in regards to the way the engine runs. Seems that early aggressive timing helps fuel economy. So more power is made by retarding the timing? Then would u need to increase the duration? What exactly is TM? The 1st gens dont have that, why do we? I have a Goerends tranny so no need in to worry in that department.
Torque management. What dodge added to help their undergunned transmission cope with an engine it was never meant to be put behind. The higher the tm number, the more bottom end power. I don't think there's a programmer on the market today that completely does away with the TM though? It started in 00 or 00.5.
REVO is the new software for smarty. http://www.madselectronics.com/SmartyREVO.html
Ok TM makes sense. How does adjusting the duration and timing affect the driveability?
this isnt like other ECM hacks that allow you to adjust fuel and timing maps. Granted comparing gas vs diesel but should still have similarities. Would the injection timing be comparable to ignition timing?

the timing works the same as a gasser mostly the more timing the better top end. The nice thing about it being adjustable is you can tone it back some if you plan on running nox. TM is the low end fueling and it works the same across the board for 98 to 02 I have tried it on both. It has nothing to do with the stock TM. The best I can tell somewhere in the middle of the adjusment #'s is stock catcher. My truck runs much harder with everything maxed out on level #5 than it did pre revo #5

Ok right now I had it maxed on all and on program #2. Did this add timing to #2? Also if u add timimng to a prgram with timing is it in addition too? Or is there a safe gard max limit allowable?
That would be great Mike. Maybe then he could answer some other problems for a few others too. I decided not to screw with the revo and put the old software back in.
So far I like the 1 setting for timing more than the default catcher timing. You shouldn't run more timing than that with a stock headgasket imo so I've only briefly played with the higher settings.
