What kind of Grille Guard is this?

I've seen a few of these grille guards lately... mostly on Texas trucks. What are they called and where can I get one?

It looks like it replaces the front bumper. Is that the case?

Most vendors call 'em "bumper replacements". As stated, Ranchhand, Boss Hog, Maverick and a bunch of other manufacturers make them.

Actually, that one looks absolutely identical to the Brown's welding bumper on my truck...

I'm guessing he is lacking limited slip in his rear end.

2 wheels slip in back while one slips in front, hence 3 wheel drive.

that is most likely a brown's welding bumper. They are located near san antone i think. I had one on my 97 2500 till i hit a deer. Then i got my Tough COuntry.

Musta been a HECK of a deer! I can't imagine it budging when hitting something short of a Moose...

Phox hit the nail right on the head... but you're the first to ask.. Being an avid off-road guy, it isn't a 4x4 (or a 6x6) until there are locking differentials in both axles... I'm considering a drop-in locker for my rig... had to engage the front to back out of my wet grass camping spot this weekend with the surge-brake eqiupped trailer... My 6.0PSD driving buddy parked right next to me started laughing about "That POS Dodge not able to pull out" I just told him it's what happens when you actually make torque below 2000rpm

Thats not a grill guard, it's a fence to keep techs out. I HATE working around those things!!

JBody- actually this is a tech safety equipment. It's there to keep the tech secured while doing diagnostic drives with him under the hood

forgot to mention the brown's that I had was just a grille guard, and not the full replacement like shown in the pic. If you hit one with the full replacement you dont even have to slow down, unless he decides he want to ride in your lap.
