What happened to the smoke?
What happened to the smoke?
I put the EZ on the stock engine it smoked some at shift points. I installed RV275 injectors and it smoked strong at shift points. Later I had to replace the injector pump, smoke was mostly gone and now after the FASS installation the smoke is almost completely gone.
I am not looking for more smoke but rather worried that something is not operating as well. Any ideas?

Re:What happened to the smoke?
I woudld suspect that you are experiencing the increased efficiency of the FASS and the new injection pump. You have no smoke because you are BURNING your fuel and converting it to hp..
What does your SOP meter tell you about the power of the truck??

Justin this makes sense to me and I wondered the same but wanted to get some opinions. Took me a few minutes to figure the "SOP" meter...
Well it feels different, it is smoother in all cases. The smoothness converts to not as much of a brute force feeling, but pulling known hills with a load shows that is has some stronger low end power. I catch myself running the gears down lower due to the smoothness. After one tank on the FASS I cannot claim a betteer mileage though, if anything a bit lower, will have to run a few hundred miles more to make that judgement. Truck feels great. The new VP44 definately gave more low end power, no way to measure the high end. One thing that I did notice though was at night in the headlights behind me there was more haze pulling a hill. Can't see that in the daytime although others may be able to.
SOP gage, ok, good gage
