Ok my Power Puck is dead :'( (and I'm really missing all the black smoke and power. :- I am looking a the Power Edge EZ and I would like to know if anyone has had one of these EZ's fail on them. I loved my Power Puck and was totally satisfied with it, am I going to be disappointed with the EZ???

 

I have run the EZ for over 2 years no problems what so ever. I don't have any experience with the puck so i can't compare the two. You might want to step up to the comp so you can tap the pump later if you want. Might save you from buying another box down the road.

I've had an EZ on my 02 for almost a year now, and have had nothing at all go wrong with it. The folks at Edge are eager to talk to you about anything, problem wise or performance or anything. I believe the EZ will give you more hp and torque than the puck. I went with an EZ over the comp because i couldn't justify the extra $200 dollars, and I would never tap the pump wire anyway. You can figure with the comp, you'll need work on an auto tranny, or a better clutch with a standard. Overall, I've couldn't be happier with my EZ.

 

I work at a high performance diesel shop and have tried several in my own truck. My fav besides the Comp Box is the Edge EZ. It has 4 or 3 (cant remember, know the Ford has 4) adjustable settings. It seemed to pull stronger then the Bully Dog box i tried. I ran that one for 2 weeks and a trip to Iowa from Texas, didnt hurt my milage, but didnt improve it. I had it up on setting 3 i think it was. YOU CAN FEEL THE DIFFERANCE!!!!!!! I took it out to sell to a custmer (which knew was in my truck!!! ;D) and am sad.......... :'( BUT 4" or 5" exhaust and an AFE are soon to come...and ill pony up the extra for the Comp Drag box....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! You ever seen a dully light all 4 up????? Pretty impresive! Blue Chip also has a great box (they make it for Bully Dog as well) FMS Box. It has a boost and pryo built in and defuels if you get too hot as per your settings. Also has a drag mode as well!! They also said to run a timing box as well to even better the results. BUT SAVE THOES PENNIES!!! Its a high dollar unit! around 1g if im not mistaken! BUT go with the Edge EZ, you will love it. We dont care too much for Diablo Sport much here. My 2 cents.....

 

Never had an EZ returned. I do have a used 01 EZ on the shelf too (took it on trade for a comp).

I've had my EZ for almost 2 years, runs great and made a huge difference for towing. Last month I upgraded the tranny because TC was slipping, so if you have a stock auto and tow much weight think hard about any HP mods.

Brand new EZ with a Superchips Dieseltuner. AWESOME!!! Just my .02 . LE

 

Now the Superchips tuner i wasnt too happy with after seeing what they do for the Powerjoke and the Duracrap, WOW! (FYI--get an Edge Juice box upgraded to "Hot" and stack a Superchips tuner on that Duramax.....HOLY COW! Mr. Allison doesnt know what to do with all that power! HEHE!) I ran that with the Edge Box and found really no increase. I was all over the Tuner due to Dodge (to my knowledge) never had one. I did not try the tuner with out the box though. We did put it on my bosses truck with the Comp box with the box off and really made no differance. Who knows, i might be wrong. BUT the seat of my paints dont lie! Does recal the speedo....i like that.....

 

My EZ has been utterly reliable. By the Comp, though, so you have the option down the road. Plus, with the Comp, you can turn it off if you want from in the cab. THe EZ is always on...
