I have had my 01 CTD for acouple of months now, and right after purchase I put a power puck on it and noticed the VP had a scotch lock on it and a plug on the left fender is open to exsposure. Also has a hole in the dash panel to the left of the steering column like maybe a toggle switch was there. New to the performance modules so I have no clue. I thought it was kinda a dog on the get go So I added the power puck and a new lift pump and its alot better but I know it has alot more potential.

 

Scotch lock equals pump tap fueling box, either: Quadzilla Xzillaraider, Blue Chip FMS, Redline, TST, Banks, Edge Comp=most likely, Edge Juice. All of those except for the Banks can add 100 HP plus to the ground. Sounds like your truck has been properly broken in!

 

If it had a toggle switch I don't know what it could be. My guess is wire tapping box, and the hole is from a fuel pressure warning light?

 

The hole is 2 big for a light, I have installed a light, its like a 3/8 or bigger hole...maybe a lock up switch...and should I seal the scotch lock....

 

You'd be better off just hooking a wire back up to it

 

Yes, seal it up so it doesn't get corrosion in it.

 

Seal it up with an Adrenaline wire, you will be happy!
