What can stock auto trans handle?

What can stock auto trans handle?
I have a stock 01 2500 4x4 and I'm planning on starting out with an intake and an exhaust. I'm considering an Xzillaraider after the aforementioned mods because I've read a lot of good things about Quadzilla's products on here. What kind mods/power can an unmodified 47RE handle before it frags? The truck has 87,000 mi on it. Thanks for any help or advice.

Yes but BB's trans is a freak
Depending on the shape of you trans and how you drive will determine how much the stock trans will hold, but usually not over 65 extra hp. HTS is having a special on TC/valve body right now. Might give Dusty a call. www.htstransmissions.com
