Wh1c

I have the WH1C turbo on my 1st gen. and i think i am overboosting it. i push between 33-35psi and fixing to be alot more. Will the 60mm compressor upgrade be a good investment or do i need to get a different turbo? If the compressor housing upgrade is a good investment where can i get one?

thanks in advance

You prob wouldn't see a substantial difference with the 60mm compressor wheel. It dosent do much for the EGT's plus you have to get your cartridge machined to accept the bigger wheel.

It says here at http://htturbo.com/cu.htm that there would be no internal modifications needed to put in the wheel. It comes with a compressor housing and wheel.

Yup you are correct, for your model it does come with a new face plate for the cartridge.

Dont waste your time and money.

U should put this down in the first gen section, we can better advise you on the proper turbo for a first gen truck.

Any way, The WH1C is a good turbo, but just how much fuel are you planning on putting to it?? On a first gen the WH1C is a good enough turbo to support a modded VE pump with a light set of injectors. Just set your wastegate for 35-40 PSI. If you have EGT problems, u need more air, more air means better turbo. Pretty much simple as that.
