weak FASS???

what kind of fuel pressure does (should) the FASS put out...i bought my truck with it already installed...but I only see 14 at idle and it pulls to 11 at WOT...which still seems safe to me, but a little low then what other say they see with the FASS

Fuel pressures seem to vary quite a bit. Has to do with spring pressures. Think they went through several different designs. Your numbers are certainly more than enough for any situation.
I get 14.5 psi at idle...can't pull it below 13...no matter what. That's with a 5 micron filter! If you have bigger than the 3/8" stock lines, that might explain slightly lower numbers.

I got a heavier spring kit from DPP and it was a disaster. Wrong spring...way to small. Hell of a time finding the spring...because I was looking for one similar to the small one that came with the kit. Came with a plate and a rubber o-ring but no directions...and no spring anywhere near these pieces in size??

Long story short...I sent it back and stayed with what I had. Just thankful I have one working well. Great pumps but the company sems a little disorganized??

i have a big line kit...scott from renegade diesel said it was a huge line for my truck in mostly stock form...its about the size of a garden hose...so i guess thats where my pressure comes into play

thanks alot!

I have the FASSII.

As RJ said it is a spring issue.

When first installed I had 11.5 + / - psi @ idle and 8 - psi @wot.
DPP sent me a new spring kit and it is now 20+ at idle and around 15psi @wot.
(I didn't have the wrong spring issue that RJ had... my kit was complete - thanks DPP)

14 at idle and 11 wot should be good.

I probably spoke too harshly about DPP.
Talked to Dan MacDonald at City Muffler (advertisers here)...who has complete list, by part #'s, of all options, Springs, fuel lines, banjos, etc. from DPP.

Give him a call if interested in higher pressure spring. 800-942-4544...or http://www.cmpchips.com/index.html
