Water/Meth

OK I have a buddy that has a water/meth kit just sitting in his garage not using it. I can buy it pretty cheap. THe question im wanting to know is would it be worth it to help cool my egt's? Also what kind of problem can I get into with water/meth?

blown HG. increases cyl. psi., some studs will keep it in check though.

Well i dont know if this will make a difference or not but he was talking about setting it up where it would kick on at about 15 pounds of boost if i have switch flipped. So would that make a difference on anything?

well thats the way most of them work, you have it set to come on partially at a certain boost and then full blown at a higher boost.

I run a lot of water and boost on the stock hg with no studs. Noticed a big diffrencs with the new trans. Water i think is the best bang for the buck when it comes to diesel trucks. the only thing is that you have to fill it up @ 2.00 a gallon for washer fluid, its not that bad thougth. as for mine i have all 3 injectors come on at 30psi, no stumbling at all. I f it is cheap give it a try you will like it.

i wouldnt suggest using it without knowing you the consequences but it can be done like Joker12valve mentioned. ive just seen what it will do without studs.

I dont have studs but i do have the marine gasket, mine comes on at 15 psi and cools about 200-300 depending on the mix(mostly straight washer fluid) gives a nice little kick, i dont use it all the time but it is nice to have when you want to keep your foot in it just that much longer.

for cooling, cant you just run straight water and not increase cylinder pressure?

Shoot i use mine all the time, I am putting a 3 gallon fuel cell in so i don't have to fill it up all the time. but that might change with the new turbo that is about to go in, then we will see how long the hg last.
