Water Injection Kit??

Planing on buyin a water kit but im not sure which one im gonna go with and what stage, just really planning on running it for sled pullin, at the track and fooling around. Wondering if just the Stage 1 with the hobbs switch would be good enough and curious what kind of adjustability comes with it compared to the varible controller. Any of you guys that have done some tuning, any input would help. Thanks Brett

Mine is just a pressure switch that stays open to 20psi, but it is a Hobbs brand. You can get any pressure switch. and some are adjustable but I couldn’t find one. I wanted to spray as soon as I could that’s why I went with a 20psi. I thought that was a good psi to start at any lower I though it might put the fire out or run poorly.

I've got the stage 2 snow kit and really enjoy it. I'm running one .625 and one .375 nozzle right now and have it set up to come on at 20psi and full bore at 30psi. I like the gradual ramp up of the spray. Seems easier on parts than an instant hit. I'm getting ready to swap out the .375 nozzle for a .625 nozzle.

I would try adjusting up the pump pressure before you put in the other .625. I think you'll find out that you'll start putting out the fire with two .625's and your mods. You'll get better "misting" with the .625 and a 3.75, with the pressure turned up, then you will with two .625's and the pressure turned down.

Just my .02 worth...

Paul

Thanks paul. I know I can up the pump pressure to 220psi so I'll go ahead and give it a little adjustment.
