I have a turbo that I have been tinkering with. It is wastegated and I was wondering If I was to bypass the wastgate for testing, how do I wanna do that? Do you wire it open or closed and how can you tell with it on the bench? I have blown air through it with the air compressor and can definitely tell a difference when I actuate the lever, Just not sure which way it goes.. Last ? Is there a way to make a turbo that may be to large spool faster without buying new exhaust housings ect...? It already has a 17 cm2 housing on it and thats as small as I have found..

 

You want it closed. Couldnt you just block off the vacum signal to it to make it stay closed?

 

Could, But I removed the actuator and the arm for clearance.

yeah. It's just to big for a single. So now I am gonna twin it...It's just a hair smaller that HT3B so it should spool really quick.. HOPEFULLY..

 

My buddy is running an h2d as a single daily driver. Pretty laggy but supposidly when the turbo is lit it hauls.
