Waiting for my Gauges
Waiting for my Gauges
So I ordered my gauges today. My 2001 is stock and after lurking around here for a couple of weeks and getting great info regarding a thermostat issue, I decided I needed to at least get a fuel pressure gauge. So, I am doing 3 pillar gauges that will include a fuel pressure gauge, trans temp gauge, and a boost gauge. We have always had a private mechanic that works on all of our CTD's (5 in the last 8 years) and he will be doing these for me as well, but I hope to learn from him and begin doing some of these enhancements myself (now that I personally have a CTD that does not belong to the ranch). Anyone have any input as to what the next gauge should be?
Anyhow, I am psyched about getting these installed. My only fear is that once the fuel pressure gauge is installed, I will find I don't have enough fuel pressure--but I would rather find that out now than later.
Oh- I forgot, the gauges are Dipricol Optix.

My gauges were installed today. I love them. I really like knowing what my fuel pressure is and that I don't have any boost leaks. I think I like of the idea of a trans temp as well as I pull quite often. I considered the EGT but I don't plan on bombing the truck, but if I were to mod it, I think I will then add the EGT to column.
Thanks all for the input.
