I second that Merrick. They where a PITA to get on. They are nothing like the stock ones. I put a little 1-2-3 Grease on mine(it doesnt attack rubber), and it helped.

Torqueman, they are black & if it was rubbing a hole you would know it. Sitting by the tire looking in there is not doubt.

1-2-3 grease?

What kind of grease would that be?

Does it dry and get sticky?

It's best to use hairspray, because anything you put on them that makes them slippery, will make them pop off easier.

When you get to running higher boost, there are a ton of tricks you can do to get the boots to stay on.

What I would recomend to do is to coat the inside of the boots with HairSpray. This makes it slick for a little bit, while you are sliding 'em on, but then when the hairspray dries,, it's like Glue!

I'll check on the manufacturer, but that is what it says. I think it is DowCorning. (sp.?)

I am not worried about it coming off. If I would have put a handfull of it on there I might, but I just enough to get it going. It will be fine.

This is gonna sound weird, but i use toothpaste to slide them on. Only down side is you get it everywhere(we seem to have an over abundance of the crap around here , so might as well use it for somethin). I also use it to brush my teeth too

Torqman, oil from turbo is coming from underneath or top?

Deerediesel there is oil residue at the turbo elbow where it connects to down pipe to intercooler. Not much oil but noticable where pipe joins. The oil looks like it's comming from the inside of pipe or turbo...
