VB Question
I searched and couldn't find this mentioned.
Do any of the trans builders offer a VB that automatically downshifts when you are slowing down or coming to a stop??
I test drove a duramax a couple years ago and it shifted like this. I really liked how it felt. I'm getting ready to upgrade my trans and I was wondering if any of the usual suspects (dtt, hts, goerend) offer this in their VB's.
Would there be any drawbacks to this.
Thanks
Brad

I have a feeling that the allison can do that because it's got it's own ECM and can be programmed to do what ever you want it to do. The 47re's do not do this however and I don't think any of the 48re's do it either. The new 68rfe might be able to but I don't know.

My DTT VB will downshift to 1st at about 15-17mph. This VB replaced a Trans-go shift kit that I used to run which required a complete stop to go back to 1st gear.
