The V5 you can save warranty, the R plugs into the IP.

I think besides that they are the same.

Both have boost foolers. Both give the same power. If you have a v5 and a dealer that will allow it, you can save your warranty. But, I have seen some dealers replace vp's under warranty with a R and some with a comp still hooked up. I guess it all depends on the warranty place.

Oestrich84. How are those jammer 3s with the Vanaakin? I probably going to get a Van Aakin and im studying injectors and which to purchase. Im not sure what injectors I want yet. What H.P. would you estimate that set up adds. Are jammers a Edge product? Edge has jammers in there little catalog.

My set up is for towing power rather than rickyracer...

With an auto I'd say you would be at about 315-325 to the wheels. Just a guess though. I love this combo for towing. EGT's stay below 1100*, but it is cold out. Last night I towed about 15,000lbs of building materials back from Minnesota, and at 65mph the pyro stayed at 700*. When I got home I looked at the thermometer and it was -13.6* F

Tommy93w350,

The R style connects by breaking the sticker seal at your injection pump, they are all over E bay as most folks shy away from them, lots of ebay folks don't know the difference till it's time to install it etc, rest assured the sellers do though!!! The V style uses the data link to connect in and is dealer stealthy if you get my drift. We ONLY sell the V style as the cost is the same and it protects the customer etc.

I agree with Mark, the only time the R is really used is in motorhomes. For most truck applications I would use the V5.

Thing is the "R"s are dirt cheap now on EBay (nib). I have wrestled with this a few times with my finger on the mouse hovering over the "Buy it Now" option. Valley Fuel puts them on there and a day or so later they are all gone.

I have been told they are "old stock" and I know I should just pay the extra $100.00 and get the V5.

I guess my feeling is that If I'm going to actually fool with the pump itself I might as well get a comp, which by the way can be had for considerably LESS than just a month ago (I'm seeing them for less than $500 now).
