This is a "total kit", but you can order just what you need too. I have replaced all of my bushings except the control arms. It's all pretty simple.

First of all - www.suspension.com is the BEST place to get urethane bushing and the like. I have used them several times, and they have an awesome selection, and A-1+++ service (and FAST shipping too!)
Anyway, I was searching the topic because I am considering replacing the front control arm bushings in an attempt to get rid of the "clunk" I have in the front end with going over bumps, etc.
Is it a tough job to replace the control arm bushings?

I don't think so. All you need is a torque wrench along with the other tools...jack stands, and so on. I think it is a good idea to mark the bolts with white-out, or something similar, so you can replace them in their exact spot.
As far as the urethane bushings, some people have said that it makes your truck ride rougher, with more vibrations. But I don't know from expierience. But the plus side is that most of them will out live the life of your truck.....which is pretty darn long, since its a CTD!!
Good luck,
Hunter

I got a control arm kit from suspension conection and am in the process of installing it. It's only $99 but there are no instructions included in the kit so I called daystar (the manufacturer for intallation instructions and he told me what to do) I broke off the bolt on the lower control arm cam adjustment so I'm held up untill I get a new one. The install can be done by a home mechanic but it is a lot of work. When you do the drivers side upper control arm do yourself a favor and remove the shift linkage bolts to give yourself some much needed room when installing the new bushings. The new bushings are much firmer than the stock units so it takes a little muscle to get them into the mounts. The old bushing are just heated up until they melt out of the arms (they do start on fire in the process so do it somewhere safe.
