Ultimate Front End? (steering)
Ultimate Front End? (steering)
Looking to build a well steering truck.
Planning on replacing the Steering Gear w/ a PSC Box and their Steering Stabilizer.
The Thuren Fabrication tackbar and Borgeson Steering Shafts are also on the list.
All the above combined w/ new ball joints and a decent stock steering pump.
Am I missing something? Overkill? Better parts available? Other suggestions?

I think you've found about the best on the market for your truck.
I wouldn't necessarily say the DT is better than the Thuren bar. My DT's bracket had problems with bolt hole elongation that led to a little play in the bracket. I've fixed it, but I think it's a design flaw.
The DT bar is great and nice and beefy. It's also easily and cheaply rebuildable.
The Thuren bar seem to me to be the strongest on the market.
I have no personal experience with the Thuren products, but he's been very nice over email and others here speak of him highly.

You are on the right track. The thuren bar works just as well as a 3rd gen conversion and is an easier install so I would go for that if you can wait for him to make it.
The thing that you haven't addressed is your drag link and tie rod ends. The ultimate would be to go with something like the thuren steering kit but that is expensive. If you don't like bumpsteer, converting to a T setup rather than the Y would be good and then you might want to luke's link the ends or something.
I am running the exact setup you are talking about except that my tie rod ends are shot. Other than that it is nice.

I can't say that I've heard much good about the Borgeson steering shafts. People say that they make the steering harder to turn and they are a little pricey.
As far as track bars I would go with the 3rd gen setup or DT profab. The mono ball on Thuren's bar has the ability to allow to much movement, imho. Eric

So maybe this too?

I am working on fabbing up my own custon link kit just like the one pictured above. I keep getting worn components and the Death Wobble just keeps coming back so its time to try something new!

My dad put a borgeson on his and after a short while (less than a year) it wouldn't slip in and out anymore... too tight. Even after lubing. Driving it became frustrating. Borgeson were not helpful when it came to customer service. He had to spend weeks trying to get them to cover it and they told him to send it in (without giving him a replacement). He ended up going back to OEM after sending it in. Never heard back from them and the issue was gone too.
I have the Thuren trackbar and think it's more than fine. One or two have had issues where on full compression, the frame end hits the top of the diff cover. Mine has lightly grazed it a couple times just from some scuff marks, but nothing of any concern.
