I have a 97 12valve it has 370 injectors, 191 delivery valves, 4000rpm spring kit, Air dog fuel pump, and a mitchell double disk clutch. Right now I'm running a BD super B but she gets really hot when pulling a load. I know I could just keep my foot out of it a little but that is no fun. I was wondering which turbo would give cooler exhaust temps but still give me some low end punch. Please give me some input.

the answer depends on how much weight you tow and how you have your pump adjusted. theirs quite a bit of room to fine tune the pump to keep power but lower smoke and egts. the super b may not be able to keep up with the higher rpms of the govern spring kit and a heavy foot. HTT told me to upgrade to a 64/65/13ss to keep towability and help cool up top. a 71 wheel will also help cool but spool comes in 400 rpms later which may not be favorable for the 12v powerband and decreases streetability compared to you super B. I chatted with II last week and they said twins is really the way to go on the 12v's. 24v and commonrails are more usable with larger singles. hope this helps...food for thought. all depends onwhat your using your truck for and what you want to give up in return if you stay with a single.
