turbo Q

when shifting My boost gauge doesn't give me a reading to I hit around 2k rpm. Than when I start getting boost on the gauge I take off. Driving around 60mph i also run at 0psi until i stump on it than i can get 32psi. It just seems strange that im running no boost at 60mph. Any thoughts?

Depending on conditions I'll run between 0 and 10 psi at about 60. What's your EGT at 60 when you're showing no boost?

Boost is related to the amount of throttle your giving. Lite throttle conditions, like puttin down the main drag at 1200 RPM, will show zero boost.....but hit the throttle, the fuel rushes in the engine, the RPM's rise, and the boost increases. Also, at 60 mph you should be running around 5-7 psi of boost. If not then you may have a boost leak or your gauge is inaccurate.

It would be nice for the original poster to say what his boost is cruising at 60 on level ground.

This could also be a leak in the air hose to the gauge, but it's tough to say without more information.

Mine is close about 5psi at 60 but remember if you have a 60 psi gauge it dosen't appear to move as much.

i have a 35 psi gauge and i read 4-5 psi rolling on flat ground at 60 but like stated above a high psi gauge will not show the small amounts of boost very well.
