Question turbo help

i got this switzer turbo off my brother he has a 01 auto and i have a 96 stick he could push 55psi out of it some one has plugged the boost elbow on it i can only get 30 or 31 out of it my question is there is supposed to be a ling btween the boost elbow and the nipple on the wastgate
on my 12valve there is no nipple on the turbo just one at the afc housing
i connected the line that goes from the stock turbos wastegate to the afc housing to the aftermarket turbos wastegate. is this correct or do i need to run a new hose from the aftermarket turbos boost elbow to the wastegate and close off the line comming from the afc housing? or do i connect the boost elbow to the wastegate and "T" into the afc line im kinda lost turbo is sluggish at the bottom and would expect much more than 30psi considering my stock one pushed 45psi any help would be apprieciated please help my truck feels considerably slower now than with the stock turbo
thanks

should be 1 line from the elbow on the turbo to the wastegate. then 1 line from the manifold to the afc housing. you might have a leaking hose or clamp that didnt get tight when you switched turbos. what are your egts.

the line that goes to the afc it the one that was connected on the wastegate of the stock turbo.
so i should put the line from the boost elbow to the wastgate on and run a new line from the intake manifold to the afc housing and loose the original afc housing tube? the turbo came off a 24valve and is now on a 12valve if this helps.
also i smoke on the bottom more than i did with the stock one and it cleans up after id say 2000 rpms also i dont have a gsk kit in my truck soon though
thanks

my egts are deceptive cause i goofed when i installed the pyro i put it in the middle of the exhaust maniforld instead of to the side a little so it dont climb and lower instantly at 70 it is about 600-800 or so
