I agree, the hybrid is the quickest and most cost-effective way to go, and since an exhaust brake is already present on the truck in question, it might make the most sense all around.

yeah I think you guys are right. I was under the impression I had to lose the brake to run a hybrid. Since I don't I would much rather run one. The vgt sounds like fun but given the amount of free time I have right now it seems the hybrid would be a better decision all the way around. Thank you for all the help gentlemen I appreciate it greatly
