Truck in warmup mode, then just dies?

Today I go to the garage & removed my Redline box. I just unplugged it from the injection pump wires [spade terminals], then pulled it back through the firewall. I started my truck & set warmup mode to 140* & high idle to 15sec.. About 5min. later, I hear it shut off. I go to the garage & try to start it, fuel pump isn't running? I checked codes & got 1693 & 1691. Smarty was on sw4. I checked the fuses & connections, all is well. I try to start it again, fuel pump is running & it fired right up. What can cause this?

I drove to town after I got it running & everything was fine all day.

I just did a search & found this, but what can cause this? It is exactly how mine acted.

Mine died today out on the road. Had to throw it in neutral and coast for a mile or so and then wait for the pump to cycle again. I don't like it.

Totally different issue. I'm talking about warmup mode, just idleing.

J, from reading your posts regularly I am sure you have the latest update files in your Adrenaline. When I was having the issue, I was running the 7/29/2008 tunes. When I loaded the latest 10/21/2008 tunes I found that the problem went away. I noticed something about the high idle mode. When I start the truck the first time the idle goes to 900 rpm after 2 mins. It stays there about 2 mins. and then goes to 1200 RPM. I wish we could get this info ahead of time so we knew what is happening.

When I was having the issue at hand, the truck would idle up to 900, stay there for a couple minutes or so and then begin to ramp up to 1200rpm. As soon as it would reach 1200 rpm the truck would die. I would have to turn the key off, hit the skinny pedal to stop the turbo timer, and do a restart. She would be fine after that. Really wierd. Now, with the latest update files I have not had that issue.

Mine happened with 10/21 tune. Exactly how you explained it.

mine did it as well while i was going down the road i know that isnt what yours did but my fass quit running as well it sat for a few minutes then fired right back up like it is tripping a relay or something. i also know when i update my adrenalie if i dont unplug it from the wiring harness it makes my fass come on without the key being on just thought that it was weird.

Quad needs to look at the new beta tunes. They are draining the pumps dry & shutting trucks down. He really cranked the fuel up this time.

mine was when i had the old tune though, but i was running the dyno tune. maybee that was the differance. it doesnt make sense that your guys trucks are doing it during high idle, there has to be something that is setting off the relay on the fass.

Mine did the same thing a month ago when i stacked the Smarty. Started it up in the morning, went inside and the truck shut off. Came out and it started back up and as soon as it went into high idle it shut off. Did it again, watched the FP and it dropped and truck shut off. Uninstalled the Smarty and all was well. Loaded the Smarty and it didn't do it.

I think it may have something to do with Smarty/Adr. fighting over which tune will control high idle.

Yep, I think the Smarty gets PO'd when the Adrenaline tries to take control of the TT & shuts the truck down. Wierd thing is that my TT worked flawlessly last winter, only thing changed was changing to Smarty revo. Were you also running revo?
