which transmission line to install temp. sending unit?

I am trying to figure out which tranny line do I mount the block for the temp sending unit. I am picking it up today on the way home. I have read that the best place to put it is in the outgoing line (suppose to be the hottest). I noticed there is 2 line (of course) on the left side one towards the front and one towards the rear. Is it marked which one is the outlet or does any body know ? "HELP" Also does anybody else have thiers mounted there and how are your readings. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance......

From what I've been looking at, and totally guessing,
the fluid circuit would appear to be

tranny > cooler-on-engine > cooler-in-front > tranny
^
I'd think the sensor
should go here. (?)

When you're underneath looking at it you should be able
to pretty much trace which line goes where.

Hmm, just realized it's entirely possible the circuit runs
completely in reverse to my guess. Better wait until
somebody that actually knows what they're talking about.

I think he's asking which is the outlet line, and inlet.

Here's how you find out, when you get home today and shut it off grab one line with each hand and squeeze. Whichever is hottest is the line to the sensor on.
