Where to put a transmission temp sending unit
Hi,
I am trying to add a transmission temp gauge to my 2000 2500 Ram. It has the 4spd Automatic trans. I heard that there is a port I can screw the sending unit into. Does anyone know the best place to put the sending unit without having to weld something to the pan? Also, is there somewhere to attach the 12v power and lights too? I don't want to start splicing wires if Dodge provided somewhere to connect up the power and lights.
TIA
-Pete

Check this thread for a good sender hook up spot.

The easiest place to tap for lights is the ash tray light, and you can pull power for the fuse panel using a fuse-tap type adapter available from most any auto parts store.
