Which trans to go with my planned mods?

I would like some imput from you guys before I start calling busy trans builders with my questions. I need a trans soon. Right now I am thinking I should get a mild fuel plate, 3 gsk and turn up timing a bit. Maybe some small injectors later if I can justify the money. Maybe the little adjustable boost elbow to turn up boost and cool things down a bit towing if needed. I will throw some gauges in very first of all. I am looking for a bit more power and fuel economy and longevity. I tow 10k and under once a week and I never gun my vehicles off the line. I dont think I need a full built high dollar trans for this setup, correct? I know one guy who just had his trans rebuilt stock for $1,800 but I would like at least a tc upgrade and maybe shift kit. I would like to find a builder close to home. Heard so many great things about goerand but not sure if I need his expensive and awsome transmision. Any other advice for a fuel economic and mild power upgraded old 12 valve would be helpful also, thanks.

Goerend TC and valvebody would be a great combination.
