Tranny issue?

Today was one of the coldest mornings we have had. I warmed the truck up before I left for about 10-15 mins and got the 3cyl warm up. (I knew I would) Anyways my question is about my tranny, it seemed to want to go in and out of lock up at highway speed. After it went 70 80 mi everything was fine. Any ideas?

Mine does that as well when it's really cold. Once the fluid warms up I don't have that issue. I'm not quite sure why but if I lift off the throttle just a tick it'll lock right up. I think the viscosity of the fluid is having something to do with it but I'm not sure. I need to get it back up to my builder and see if he can tweak with it some more. Sent it back once and he replaced the lock up solenoid and played with the pressures and it was working fine but now it's back. Real interesting issue.

I always wondered if there was something like that on there to protect the tranny's when they are cold. It would make perfect sense.
