47re question

how hard is it to pull and reinstall my auto trans in my cummins i might need one real soon its not getting any better

Not too bad, the crossmember is a PITA to get in and out alot of shops have a frame spreader for this, I used a big hammer but the rest of it is about the same as any other transmission

will i need any special tools and how much does one of these trannies weigh as i have never done anything like this B4 ever

It took me and 2 of my buddies around 5 hours from start to finish. I have 4WD so that is a little more time consuming. I also ran all new cooler lines while I was there. They are pretty heavy. We had a lift and a very nice tranny jack.
If you dont have a tranny yet, check out Suncoast.
