Question track times

with my setup that i have in my sig, minus the sticks cuz i havent got them yet, will i be close to a 14 flat quarter with the sticks? if not, what else would i have to do to get into the 13s.

A good friend of mine is running mid 13's with a similar setup. The differences are he runs Mach 4.5's, a TST for his fueling, and has a 355 gears. I'd say you'll be low 14's anyway, not sure if the 4.10's will help or hurt. He launches like a rocket with his 355's (can't believe how well it launches with the high gear ratio) so down the track those gears have to help. He runs 3-5 mph faster top end than I do with my 410's.

Without the injectors... I doubt you'll see low 14's.
I did 14.2/102 with TST, Mach 2's, and a KSB-1 turbo. That was with very light power braking due to no billet shafts (building 5 psi boost on the line).
With your injectors... no problem with low 14's or better, depending on your weight?

To hit 13's and maybe 12's...need billet input & output shafts for safe, 10-20 psi launch. Building pre launch boost with Smarty is tricky. Suggest lower settings and very gradual throttle increase, due to heavy fueling. May be even more touchy with HRVP-44?

Yes, true. We found that out the hard way this weekend. I won with my 6 speed gearbox (running mid-15's) only to look back and no truck racing me. Boost flashed up a little more than he planned (first run with Smarty on 9....he had been running on 7) and bang! New billet output shaft ordered for him.

I think youd hit like high 13s maybe. Id go with a tranny and sticks for sure. Once you start racing, who knows whats going to break next.

I know my truck will come off the line hard with 3.55's. 14.8 is my fastest right now with the same mods that are in my sig. Can't wait to see if the hx-50 will help or hurt!

sweet deal. fathers day is the first time i will have my truck at the track. i am not lookin for a full on race truck, just something that will hang or beat the lightnings and srt10s. with my setup in my sig, without the sticks, i do pretty well right now. i think my truck is a weird one though in a good way. my buddy has a 03, just put the "HOT" juice with attitude on and water meth, and i bet him in the quarter by 2 lenghts. so if i can get to a very very high 13s with my dually, thats all i want. thanks for the feedback guys.

I would say that the truck is capable of mid 14's but I wouldnt recommend pushing it too hard with stock tranny shafts. Keep boosted launches no higher than 10psi. The mach 4's should easily put you into the 13's.

BTW, where are you running at on fathers day?
