Is there any way to change when my converter locks up. I want to make it lock up at a lower speed. Does anyone have any suggestions. I got a stock trans and converter, is there any hope?

you could have someone install a transgo shift kit. its does the samething that you get when you buy a high pressure VB. there are some parts that have the be replaced in the trans it self too. it really locks up hard, i get lock up at 40MPH in 4th. its like a whole nuther truck

 

I get lock up at 28 MPH in 2nd. Stays locked as it shifts up through 3rd and OD. Unlocks as I decelerate down past 26 MPH. Adjustable, of course, that's just where I have it set. All power to the road. I love my ATS.

 

lock up at low rpms is bad for the stock trans, torque converters are very pricy but recomended
