I didn't know that, I'm glad to hear that it wont really be that much more horsepower. I'm going to take my old stock plate and grind it down to a 100. Easily done? Any templates? or measurments?

OK, I'm going to be the butthead....

You want to be able to go 100+ so you can show someone up that you don't know? Seriuosly, who cares if someone gets all butthurt because you passed them and feel compelled to show you up, thats there deal...

100mph is darned fast, too fast for any road in the United States.

yes that is exactly right!

I started grinding on the ole stock plate to make her a 100 tonight. Used the bench grinder to knock her smooth, now a dremel to get the curve. I got it down pat, I just have to make the swoop at the bottom more pronounced. I'll put a picture up when I get it. Won't be the quality of Northslopes. haha

I went 115ish in my 06 the other day because some kid in a beat up 5.0 was trying to pass me...he didnt. All of my buddies with the 12V's have a top speed of about 100ish

Ive been about 115mph in my baby pumped truck but I also have 370s. But you really need a bigger pump to go faster than that because it wasnt pulling hard anymore.

Because my #10 plate defuels at that speed? A 100 should help to cure that as I understand?

Yes and no it all depends on what position you run the plate in. Alot of people dont understand that a stock pump wont hardly use the plate when it is slid all the way foward. Thats why people say they feel that they have the same power with it in stock position as to slid foward.

So how far back should I keep it? It doesnt put more fuel full foward?

Well without mods to the pump you wont get enough rack travel for it to even rise up the plate But as long as the govenor arm Is not falling underneath the plate then you can go as far foward as you would like. But Im just saying you wont be getting full use of the plate because the afc arm will be in the way.

I can't believe no one has mentioned delivery valves! I had a set of lazer cut DV's in my 95 and it was one of the best mods (aside from the GSK) on my truck. I'm sure that will get you a lot more fuel.

Eric

For a smaller pump

they are almost a god send, for a 215 pump, they just dump too much fuel on the low end unless you have twins... I run some 191s and i can puke fuel at will... Literally...
