Nuthin to really "turn up", basically plug and play so to speak, ie--modules, programmers, fueling boxes, etc., that and a few bolt on parts and that about covers it.

You can put a j hook on the turbo to make alittle more boost if you dont allready have one.

not sure what do ya mean?

thought of some questions- silencer ring, how do I get rid of it?
How much power will the 47RE take with out mods?
What is necessary for an exhaust brake again?

1) no performance gains by removing the silencer ring - just more noise and not worth the effort.
2) Edge EZ (50 hp if I recall correctly) - thats it
3) exhaust brake is used for heavy towing and/or saving the service brakes. it also allows your truck to warm up mech quicker and allows you to idle for extended periods as it puts a small load on the engine. If you plan on going to a 4" exhaust, you should be looking at a 4" remote mount exhaust brake as you dont want the regular 3" version that mounts directly behind the turbo. Its a bottleneck.

As for free mods, you can install the turnbuckle as mentioned above....

the silencer ring, as stated above, isn't worth any HP, but it's just a snap ring on the inlet of the turbo....just take out a snap ring and pull the silencer ring out. at least that's what I've read, I've never bothered because I assume it would be cool until you pulled a trailer for more than 10 miles, then I would guess it would get really old.

What a j hook does is hold the waste gate shut longer by making it take more pressure to open it.
