Time for New Wheels - Opinions

I'm replacing the box, doors, fenders, cab corner and rockers on my '96. I'm painting it white again but with no driftwood lower section this time. I'm going to de-badge it but still put the bump-guard down the sides. I'm thinking of putting a set of wheels on it, something in black. I kind of like wheels similar to ATX Predators and KMC Revolvers. I'll probably go 17". Does anybody have any recommendations and also width, back-spacing, offset and tire size?

Thanks

I strongly recommend Hummer wheels with 35" tires. They are a perfect offset, look fabolous and are pretty darn cheap/easily found.

I second the h2 takeoffs. I have a set and the offset is perfect (without fender flares). If you don't like the h2's then look for a wheel with the same dimensions ..... not sure of offset/backspacing but I'm pretty sure they are 17x8

Dont go with wheels with some crazy offset because they look nice. Youll be kicking yourself in the butt later, trust me.
hubs, ball joints and steering components all take an extra beating from the tires sticking out too far.

With H2 wheels there will be no extra wear. 84,000 miles on the set that is on my 1999 and no abnormal wear. That is even with 35" tire's

thanks. I'll have to check out the Hummer wheels. There's some guy running around town with a disgusting blinged out H2. Maybe he has the original wheels.

Will they clear the calipers on a '96 for sure? I got bit trying to use a spare from a 98+ on the front once.

They will clear the calipers without any issues.
