i just bought one for my 01. what can i expect?

 

The VA adds the power @1400 rpm, really pulls hard. My fuel mileage went up a bit, added 2 mpg. Of course, if you're romping on it all the time with the new-found power, you shouldn't expect the mileage increase!
The VA adds 60hp/120tq, definitely a noticeable gain. I think you'll like it.

ive been runnin a VA box for years and have never looked back, low end seems to be its strong point, gonna try stackin a fuel only box with it and see what i get.

 

Richard at Glacier Diesel Power puchased the remaining stock, when VA went out of business, if you ever need support/parts....

Yea man. Thanks jpage. I'm pretty excited about it. Do I need to worry about my slush box? Its only got 79k on it. I'm not really worried about anything else...gauges, fuel system, intake, exhaust have all been taken care of. Mainly by the dtr store. Man I love this forum the help, the parts, and just genuinely good guys make this forum 2nd to none. Once again thanks to all of those that replied.

 

i've seen the term ''slush box'' used several times on here...what exactly do you mean by that???

I had one on my '98.5 auto. I used a boost elbow along with a boost fooler to gain boost and lower egt's. Great power but my auto would shudder at lockup with my 2000# camper,3.54's and 285 tires. I went with an Edge EZ and Mach 1.6's which killed the tranny.

 

Van Aaken is on and I can really tell the added power. It really pulls hard down low, which is what I was lookin for. I'm thinkin a set of small injectors next. Maybe a set of rv275's or the like. Any suggestions?

 

Does he have the money they owe me too?
