Stay away! I think the 518 and 618 transmissions were on the early first gen diesels. No good for your truck! Anyone else a little more familiar?

well u dont know anything about the TC...whats the stall??..ur only gonna benefit if u up the line pressures for your lockup...but of course it will feel better when u get it cause it will be brand new but how long will that last? if i was to go new TC alone then id go with a triple disk design .....otherwise id think about pretty much a full overhaul which will double my line pressures and give me tight seals

but u can go with that TC if u want...but id bet my money that the stall is the same as stock like 2000-2400rpm ..then along with the TC id get ur valve body modded for higher pressures and the ability to lock up in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear with a swicth...then u'll have fun

The 618, 727, 47RE, 47RH, & 48RE are all practically the same.

Just a little different, almost identical internals.

For some people out there that do not know how to read "4 7 R E"

4 is how many forward gears

7 is the strength rating

R stands for reverse

E is for electric shift

Anyone know if this will work for me??????
No, the TC will not work. (If infact it was built for a 618, he might just call the 47RE a 618??)Maybe they listed the TC wrong. The sealing o ring on the hub is different in the A618. The converter will not seal right in the front pump.

this is the reply I got back form them, still no idea of the stall on them.

The 47RE is the A618. This converter here is the right one for sure.

CUMMINS DIESEL A618 A518 618 HD TORQUE CONVERTER BILLET

This will for sure work on both the A618 and A518.

I don't have personal experience with this vendor, but all the "cheapos" I've seen or read about were not satisfactory in the end. Using one of them while one "waits to get the $$$ for a good one" is a bad idea IMHO. (Simply because you throw away the $$$ for the cheapo when upgrading)

Just my 2c
