Somebody school me on the benefits of both and the negs. I just untapped it for the first time and I noticed I don't have a surging of power that goes up and down, up and down. It does it ever so slightky but it is annoying. But, from what I gathered from my short trip home was that it did not surge anymore, boost stopped at about 25 instead of 35 and I think that's all. But what does it do? Thanks!

The tapped wire allows fueling outside of the parameters built into the ECM...

Mine surged with the goofy little wiring connector that came with my Comp. Since mine is already tapped, I soldered the Comp wire to the pump wire...real good connection & no more surging. If you haven't tapped the pump wire, a Blue Chip cover will accomplish the same thing without messing up the wire.
