Alright, I finally finished the install of my stacks, problem is my wife says they need to be a little taller but I can't decide, should I leave them as they are or put the six inches back on the bottom of them that I cut off? I know that there are alot of stack lovers on here so I figured maybe ya'll could help me decide. The pictures are in my gallery, I am open for all comments pos or neg. THANKS

I personally like only 1-2" above the cab. But then again, I like miters also.

If your going to be offroading at all... I would leave the them alone...

But...

If you towing tall trailers I would add the 6 inches back to keep the soot off the trailer...

Any chance of turning them straight back? The height looks fine, but not sure on the turn out?

Nice install, i think the height on them is good, but like said already, you might want a little higher if towing

Nice keepem there. I personally just like to see the tips of the stacks over the truck. Besides soot washes off...

I think they could go up a little bit.But they do look good as they are.But I think they could look just a little meaner if they were a few inches taller.Real nice looking setup though.

Thanks for the replies guys, We're still at a standoff now she is saying they need to point straight back and be taller. It is actually a nice install considering I gathered all the pieces myself from a local truck shop, with the help of my buddies employee discount, this was not one of those kits you order

Perfecto. Mind if I ask the final price? Hope its not too low, because you'll be tempting me.

Well, ds1rider, it would have all cost me about $650.00 without my buddies discount. That is from the 3" downpipe I went to 5" the rest of the way. I don't exactly recall the total price, but it was between $350.00 and $400.00 for all the parts. I can raise it up to 6 more inches, that is what I cut off the stacks, I have a few extra stainless band clamps also, so I guess I could raise them and post a pic of them.

Leave them like they are. I dont care much for stacks that go way over the cab.
