Superlift 4.5" lift problem

For anybody that has a Superlift 4.5" lift you should be aware that today the bolt that holds my traction bar drop bracket to the frame snapped when I was turning into my driveway. Fortunately, I wasn't on the freeway going for a wild ride. For a temp fix I will just put a new bolt in but will be looking for a good way to get rid of the drop bracket so I don't have this problem again. Beware, Eric

Is the superlift made by skyjacker? Good thing you were going slow...that could have been a messy situation.

Superlift and Skyjacker are two different companies. Different lift kits.

Doesn't matter...same rubbage.

Thuren's bar will work with a lifted 2001....the TB bracket has to be welded on, but it certainly won't break off.

That's the first step in healing your truck from the red part infection.....trust me, been there. Got a whole SJ single flex kit rusting in my junk pile out back.
Well, almost whole, I'm still running the drop pitman arm.

My roommate had that happen with his skyjacker drop bracket. He then had his skyjacker pitman arm snap in half. Both happened in a parking lot as he stopped to back up. I'm glad I went with my DT bar. I'd have the bracket welded but I'm still debating the Thuren's.
