Superchips Programmer??

Have any of ya'll tried the Superchips programmer out on our trucks? I've had good luck in the past w/ them on Camaro's/Stangs but never tried one on a diesel. What's the difference between them and EDGE EZ or Bullydog's boxes? The one I was looking at had three different power levels and was significantly cheaper than any other boxes(<$300).
TIA-Justin

Re:Superchips Programmer??

I have the superchips programmer. I got it for the mild hp upgrade until I get my new tranny in January and I like the code reading ability. It doesn’t do anything to raise the boost level. I have heard it stacks real nice with the Edge-Ez.
If you are only going to buy 1 thing get the Edge-Ez, Edge Comp or other box that has a boost fooler with it. I think your money will be better spent.
Just my $0.02 worth.

Re:Superchips Programmer??

we've dynoed the programmer on a few trucks and for what your running the programmer on the highest setting will give you 35-40 RWHP. Which is roughly about 10HP less than an edge ez. like billg said they do stack nicely with edge products. You can also adjust your speedo for different tires sizes which wont make to much of an effect for what your running. but hey its always nice to have just in case you ever go 'big'

I have the programmer, and although I have not dynoed, I believe the numbers posted above. My impressions are that it is a decent upgrade, but not quite as good as an EZ.

It stacks well with my Edge Comp.

The code reader is fun. I have stock tires, so I have not messed with that part of it yet.

Re:Superchips Programmer??

I didn't see anything about the Superchip reprogramming the speedo. I'm sticking 315's under there in a week or so, that would kill to birds w/ one stone! And more hosses ;D
Thanks Ya'll - Justin
