Thanks Kyle! I have Mustang and Dynojet viewers so emailing the files would be fine with me.

INSTALLED THE PROGRAM AND SET OT ON "TOW/SAFE" TODAY

I was thrilled to see that much of a gain on the lowest setting! I was happy to have my speedo and odometer back to normal again as well. A few things are bothering me though. When I step on the pedal, smoke pours out the exhaust..... I'm in So. Cal and this is no bueno. Why is this happening? I cant tell what color it is because it was dark when I was test driving. Another thing is that my trans seems to slip when I hit it quick and most noticable with overdrive on. Trans going south? Truck has 130k

The smoke is performance in action, more poop = more poop so to speak, being in so cal you know about that carb stuff, I don,t know if the programmer is ok or no, but when they open the hood and there is nothing there you should be golden I can't help you on the tranny as I am a manual guy but it sounds like a limited life by your decription....hope I am wrong

Hmmm... so the smoke is normal then, huh? Now with the boost fooler that I am going to order...what will this give me? For $55 I may as well give it a try.

I am going to take the truck into the shop and start out with a transmission tune up and band adjustment. I know its about time for servicing anyways. Thanks for the feedback and I'll post my progress.

the boost fooler will keep the truck from defueling you will see more zoot plus it will let you fix the wastegate to let it build more boost thus compunding the performance gains.

I have a SuperChips, set at whats called "Safe Tow" and it worked just ok, untill I blocked off the waste gate, Now I get 29 PSI of boost and the truck tows like a dream. Stays in overdrive wile towing up hills. I never tryed the other setting cause the converter & trans are stock. This summer, I will be adding a good converter, input shaft & hub, and good alto red line clutches, billet servos and so on.

After tearing around today I noticed that the smoke is black.... and plenty of it when I stomp on the pedal. I still cant beleive the extra power I'm getting on the lowest Tow Safe mode. Gotta get the boost fooler and eventually a rebuilt trans and t-converter and try the other two settings........ but for now the Tow Safe is more than I expected.

I see that this programmer says it is locked into my truck only. I was not aware of this and wanted to pep up my bro's truck too. I also see these things for sale used?....... even on this board I have seen used Superchips before? Whats the deal?

Basically it trades the programming.
It puts it's program into the ECM and puts the stock ECM program into it's memory.

One truck per programmer.

Ones you see for sale are most likely because the person got bored with it and wanted more so they got a Edge Comp or other fueling box.

Hopefully they put their truck back to stock before selling it.

So does this mean they cant be used on a different truck?
I have a EZ and a Blue Chip APB . Im thinking about buying one of these so i can lock up my converter. I havent installed the APB because of the wire tap.[ warranty]

you can use a programmer on a hundred trucks, but each one needs to be returned to the stock program before programming a new truck....or call marco
