sugar !!!!!
flash back to march! on the way home from work truck starts buckin chokin and smokin like crazy and not the good smoke. white as grandmas hair.
next mornin cant drive faster than 20 mph then once temp hit appx 130* it would take off back to normal. checked codes 0251,0216,0252. so i think ip right? so i dump in qt of 2 cyl and some diesel kleen to full tank. not much chokin n smokin but still the slow take offs till 120/130*. so i keep doing this thinkin sooner or later the no start would hit me.while thinking of a fuel system upgrade since the ip is about to die i picked me up a xdp fuel sump. as i proceed to the install i dropped my tank just to cleen it out as a precautionay to the new things to come, assissin pump and new ip
. guess what i found
. about 5 qts of sugar in the bottom of the tank. so i proceed to pull the filter. yup
sugar.even the micron screens on the sending unit can. were packed full and all torn up from suckin so much build up i guess. i am going through insurance and i was wondering what the appx labor time would be since i fix everything myself on my truck but i know my time is diffrent from a mechanics time. i wanted to have and idea in my head when the ins. co spits a labor time at me as to what is reasonable. since the sugar finished off my lp and ip does anyone think any damage would be incurred on the injectors? if so is pulling them and sending them out the only way to find out? i am looking for suggestions for an ip also was thinking of calling blue chip but havent yet? any other recommendations givin my sig. i know there is alot of new stuff out there now.

Someone dumped sugar in a gas work truck years ago on me.
plugged filters for 3 days, so I dropped the tank and found the cause. Showed it to a farmer friend and he said it was sugar and he caught an unhappy employee doing it to his!
I hate cowards.
Recently I found something like it in my dodge filter and tank.
I know who it is I just need to catch him, deal with it and go to prison!

Anyone that would sabotage something a person has worked hard on, rather than say it to his face is some piece of work indeed.
Hope you get this sorted out and it doesnt wind up costing you anything. =(
I know someone thats good with injectors if you need to send them out to get checked and re-popped. msg me if you need the info

We had an injection pump come in off a 3406 off road machine and that sucker was loaded with sugar! No wive's tale, it's bad news bears!! That's why I'm glad my fuel tank cap is hidden, people usually don't know where it is and I like it that way.
