I have seen pics of one... Not sure where it was though He had holes cut and some sort of hi-temp sealant around them... Not sure if that helps any or not, but I do know it has been done...

Stacks

I have seen this as well. They used a through roof adapter almost like a stove pipe set up so it wouldn't disrupt the paint on the cap.

That would be like a heater for the back too. Nice cold hunting day (not that any of you crazy people with loud trucks could let them idle and have wildlife near) but it would keep the back hot

The other thing is it would get hot in there, you'd have to insulate the pipes good. Plus if you take the cap off it would be a hassle to seal every time. It can be done, depends on money too. All what you want. I say if your going to put a cap on it, don't do stacks (exit in front of wheels or something else that's cool) Through hood!!!

I did read the post. I just figured I display what I do. But I do remember somebody around here had some pics of stack caps. I haven't been able to find them yet.

Gotcha! I've never seen anything like that before. It would of been a little easier if refered to as a camper, shell, topper, etc... then a cap. No big deal, thanks for the clarification and the forgiveness.

I had never heard them referred to as a cap untill I joined DTR, must be a regional thing. I'm guessing east coast. I've always called them campers, maybe toppers...

I know out here in Kali we have a dialogue breakdown compared to other parts of the country, but that one threw me. I'm pretty well versed in slang, hillbilly, redneck, spanglish, etc... Ustedes sumt'n bueno evry day.

I know that John Rodriguez

Local boy here with a BOMBed 05 cummins at 550 or so horses and a member on here, had stacks with rain caps on them.. Man when they would soot they would shoot up and let smoke fly, but if it was just a little bit, just the inverse happened and they would only lift enough and the soot wouldbe all over the cab and bed. His were straight cut if im not mistaken... but he has had mitre cuts and all sorts of exhaust combinations, so i know that they work..... just have a drawback to them...
