Thinkin about doin stacks. Does any one have any vids or sound clips of the noise in the cab. I want to know whats the best I do tow but not all the time. How can my truck be loud but not to loud. I put a MRBP muffler on but it didnt make it that loud and I know if I take the resinator off its gunna be loud as hell any suggestions? Thanx

Run the stacks above the cab. At cruise, mine's actually quieter than when it had a full exhaust. I don't run a muffler and with 10k in tow, she barks, there's no getting away from it. A muff or resonator would help some. Above the cab is key.

I had stacks for a while. At cruise, empty, not bad but towing they get loud.
I went on vacation last year,4 hour drive towing the boat to the lake and back convinced me to take them off. The noise got to be unbearable.
I also tow 3-4 times a week and the noise was just getting too loud for me.

Vid of mine....

not too bad with the windows up, at 75+ with the windows down it is loud though, but keeping it under 65-70 its not bad...
My a/c is out, so I try to drive a lil slower at the moment with the texas heat and the windows down....

Previous owner installed them.
4" from down pipe to elbow under the bed opened up to 5" into the box then out to 5" stacks...
Doesnt take up much room in the bed and the tool box keeps meltable things from sliding into it

I have my original 3 inch exhaust running up into my steel box, NO MUFFLER.
My box is about 8 ft long and 8inches wide and about 3 inches tall with 2 curved stacks that run about a foot above the cab. Not very loud inside and not too bad outside.
