Garrett,
I think (know) you still need a bigger charger. That 66 stuff wont cut it in the 2.8 class.

Nice intercooler!

nice cooler, Shop floor looks a little dirty thought. your old cooler is in storage? must have alot of room with all the parts you go throught. I agree that you should get a bigger turbo, and put the old one in "storage" Just glad that some thing went right for you that day.

i know a 2.8 is a streetable charger, although not as much on a 12v than on your 3rd gen with a cam. But the trucks that rule that 2.8 class are far from streetable. (12:1 compression, race pumps with no afc functions, 5000 rpms) thats all I was saying. Dan painters truck is a 2.8 truck isnt it? he hit the sign in shelbyville.

Its bigger than a 2.8 turbo on that truck. It is a S400 bushinged down.

Dan Painters, Rob Millers, and Scott Amos' truck aside...
To run with the rest of the class you need a 2.8 charger...be it an s400 bushed or K31...

Got a chance to tow with the new Intercooler on the way back from Houston.
I DID NOT turn the fueling down at all.
On the way home, we lost 5th gear in the new truck.

Ooops... Little Sooty.

EGT's ran 800-900 degrees at 72MPH. I was very happy with how it towed.
Weighed in at 19,000lbs GCW.
