Smarty ver Banks

I have a Banks power pac on my 01 24v. Would there be an advantage to switching to a smarty? Also with the banks, the waste gate got modified to run the boost up to about 35psi. Will that be a problem with the smarty?

Thanks Bob

Oh, my..... they're not even in the same leauge. I don't have my smarty yet, but have done plenty enough reading around to know that once you try the smarty, you will take that banks box and smash it with a hammer.....

Do some searches on here and the other forum, set aside about...hummmm 4 hours or so of reading and when your done, you will place your order....

I'm just waiting on that tax return check !!!!!!!!!

Since the first gen, I have looked into, but haven't used any of Bank's products. I belive the Smarty is a much more refined and significant unit. IMHO, you would be quite impressed over the Bank's unit.

Defueling from "over" boost has been removed from Smarty, so 35psi is no problem.

OK, I got a Smarty and here is what I think. With the Smarty on #9, it seems very much like the Banks Power Pak I was running at top end, however the smarty has way, way more bottom end! Now the banks has a wire tap and does pull well at the top end, but the smarty seams to pull as well at top with out the wire tap, how can that be? Also, it has been said that the Smarty is a 60hp box and the Power Pak is something like 100HP. Why can't I feel the difference?

If anyone else can compare or square me away, please do.

Am I crazy?

I don't mean to hi jack your thred, would I see a noticeable difference running the Smarty with my Drag Comp? I would thing there would be too much timing unless there's a setting on the Smarty w/o timing. I'm still learning about the smarty's. Thanks

Yes there is a big difference. After running around with the Smarty for a couple weeks I loaded the stock program back on and it felt like a total dog (my Comp is always on 3X5). Run around with your comp on the higher seetings for a while...turn it off and thats what the difference feels like to me. Since the Comp uses timing you will only load even # programs on the Smarty. Turn the Comp off to run odd # programs.
