Question Smarty S67 Ver 24.

I was just browsing the MADS website and saw that Ver 24 is out.. Anyone know exactly the upgrades? Its pretty vague on the news at MADS just stating better DTC management and communications. Any changes to the program that I should load it up?

Up loaded smarty jr w/ 24me, seems to down load faster onto truck in less time. I'v been running in fuel economy ( 40 hp ) sence monday. Hand calculated at 18.2 city, hwy& back roads. Feels like more power in the same tune as 23me. looked at smarty news a couple of hours ago, now they have a 25 version.

Does the truck need to be returned to stock before switching software versions?

No. You can update your smarty uploader and just re-load the program you have already installed. I have done it many times. So when it asks for catcher# you just select the same program and re-load.

Seriously? Ver 25 is out already?

Downloaded the newest version and installed it today. Set on sw3 with the last 23me version and now with 25 there does seem to be a little more power available. So far thats all I've noticed.

I uploaded v25 on Sunday. I hadn't done a firmware upgrade in over a year. I noticed a fair amount of power increase on SW3. Was doing rolling burnouts when jumping on it after rolling easy through an intersection.

I'm hoping the upgrade will prevent me from getting occasional notices to see the dealer on the overhead. Each time this happens there are no stored codes, and clearing the codes anyways removes the alert.

I went from 23 to 24 and it got rid of the "service required now" messages I was getting.

I just put V25 in. I am going to try it at SW1 and see if I can handle the reduced power and maybe net a bit better mpg. I think this will last...one day and then its back to SW3.

If history dictates, sw3 is the best mileage getter. I might just have to upgrade right away.

Hey Blake,
I love my Smarty especially when pulling my 5er. I am leaving next week for a three week trip out west and the Smarty will help me get better fuel mileage than stock.
Maybe I will update to 25ME when I get back?

Yeah J you are correct, I am going to switch to SW3 before the truck even leaves the science center.

Sure is a nice feeling knowing we have this torque and mileage to pull a nice load. Just the thought of changing to a gas pot makes me
