I think the stock tm and the smarty tm are two totaly different things.

I thought only 01-02 hadTM and the 99-2000s didn't have to worry about it?

SuperDave I don't think you have TM, I too was under the impression that it was 01-02 that had it.

agreed. i set my TM low like 2 or 3 and my charger wouldnt lite for anything.

i was past 2500 rpm and had like 14psi boost. with tm on 4 and 5, it rockets to 41-45psi.

i think it controls when the fuel comes in and how much.JMO

yes the 01-02's have tq mngmnt stock but what I am saying is that the smarty tq has nothing to do with the factory tq.
It's an adjustment for how hard the fuel comes on down low. Turned all the way up my truck will smoke like crazy. turned down I can drive it like stock without much smoke unless I want it.
I tried the program on my 98 just to see and it works the same as on the 02.

See now that's what I need to know. Hopefully Bob will chime in stating wether or not the new 6 levels of TM will be helpful for 99-00s. I need some more low end to get my charger to light up sooner. Although 4k would be nice too....

hey Bob I tried the new beta I had the tm all the way to six the duration to six and timing default on sw#8 I was at a dead stop and it would build maybe 8 pounds of boost and felt like it was torque managing (defueling) I let of the brake and it felt like no smarty I'm thinking I did something wrong because I loaded my old smarty software back on and I powerbraked and it built like 12 pounds broke loose and shot to 35 psi!!!
Anyways are you supposed to adjust the options and reflash the ECM or can you just adjust the options without totally reflashing

try it without messing with the options. dont add timing either when running sw#8.

yes you have to reflash for the options to go in.

I've been having the same problem. I tried everything but coudnt get it to work. I loaded the old one back in and a dead stop brake tourque will make 35 psi again.

it must have something to do with the edge/smarty combo. I am having no problems lighting my setup. Have you guys tried it with the edge off and sw#9 installed?

I heard the 2001.5 6 speed manuals don't have torque management. I like
everything about my Smarty except the excessive smoke at low speed / boost.
What should I adjust to reduce low boost fueling to prevent excessive smoke ?
Timing , duration ?

They run great together except for the launches. I'm gonn turn it off and try sw9 this week though, then pull the juice off and put the adrenaline back on.
